DREDD 3D
Planet Jump Productions are pleased to announce that they joined forces once more with Axis Animation last year to work on a prologue for the latest Judge Dredd movie - starring Karl Urban - for Comflix and Lionsgate, which was released in September 2012.
The promotional film is in comic form and concentrates on the back-story of Ma-Ma played by Lena Heady, as she rises from a street prostitue into one of the most powerful drug lords in Mega City 1.
The motion comic utilises the storyline and artwork from the graphic novel which was written by Judge Dredd magazine editor Matt Smith and drawn by 2000 AD artist Henry Flint. Planet Jump Director Darren Wall restructured the content and broke up the imagery into layers to create a fluid sequence, giving life to the still images and thus immersing the viewer even deeper into the harrowing early life of Ma-Ma and the harsh world of Mega City 1.
See showreel page for full sequence.
